Ontario Blacksmith Design Showcase - August 8-10 2008

Ontario Artist-Blacksmith Association
Own a part of living history with one of a kind pieces hand-forged by artisans who express themselves through the ancient craft of blacksmithing. Visit the Historic Distillery District in Toronto, on Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26, where members of the Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association (OABA) will be showcasing their designs and recent works. Pieces available for sale include practical utilitarian objects such as doorknockers, clocks, fireplace tools, botanical ornaments and sculptures to more architectural elements like gates, staircase railings, furniture, fountains, and arbors.

Toronto City Roots Festival - June 28 - 29
City Roots Festival Association is a not-for-profit volunteer-run organization, presenting an annual free festival and year round monthly shows.
City Roots 2007 was an outstanding success! Riverboat Revival on Friday June 22 played to a full house at Hugh’s Room. The Free Festival at the Distillery District on June 23 and 24 attracted 8,000 people under beautiful skies. A good time was had by all.
